What do the municipality and the regional water authority ‘Waterboard Limburg’ do with your tax money?

Every year you pay municipal taxes and waterboard taxes. BsGW levies and collects these taxes on behalf of its participants and also determines the level of the property values (WOZ-waarde) of all homes and businesses in these municipalities.

BsGW combines the municipal taxes and the water board taxes as much as possible on one assessment notice. The total amount on the assessment notice is therefore the sum of those local taxes.
